Ethiopian Airline Crash

On March 10, 2019, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 departed from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport in Ethiopia on its scheduled flight to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya. Six minutes after takeoff, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft crashed near the town of Bishoftu, killing all 157 people aboard. It was the deadliest accident involving an Ethiopian airliner, with passengers from countries around the world. Of those, 18 were Canadian.

Howie, Sacks & Henry LLP and Camp Fiorante Matthews Mogerman LLP have been retained by a Canadian family to commence an action against Ethiopian Airlines in Canada, and the law firm of Motley Rice LLC has been retained by this same family to file an action in the United States against Boeing, the manufacturer of the 737 Max 8.
