What is the difference between a class action and individual cases?

Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 Plane Crash Lawsuit FAQs: What is the difference between a class action and individual cases?

Individual cases gives the plaintiffs, the individual, the complete control over how the case is going to operate.

Each person can decide when they settle if an offer is made, they can tell their lawyers how much investigation they want in the case and they can make a decision whether they want to go to trial or not.

In a class action you are a group of individuals brought together with one representative plaintiff who will give instructions to the lawyer. You are at the whim of their decision making and you may be stuck with a settlement you do not like and is not appropriate in your own case.
