Adam Wagman Quoted in CBC News on Fatal Highway 401 Wrong-Way Crash

HSH Partner Adam Wagman was quoted in CBC News regarding two Durham Regional Police officers who are set to stand trial in connection with a deadly wrong-way crash on Highway 401 near Whitby, Ontario.

The April 2024 collision killed three-month-old Aditya Vivaan and his two grandparents, who were visiting from India, after police pursued a suspect driving the wrong way on one of Canada’s busiest highways. The infant’s parents were also seriously injured.

HSH lawyers Adam Wagman and Brad Moscato represent the surviving family, who have launched a $25 million lawsuit against the officers involved, the Durham Regional Police Services Board, and the suspect’s estate.

Wagman stated: “This family has the utmost respect for police, but something obviously went very wrong in this case. This family deserves answers, and we must take steps to ensure an avoidable tragedy like this never happens again.”
