We are proud to announce that our Partner Melissa Miller has been selected as the winner of the 2022 Ontario Bar Association (OBA) Award for Excellence in Elder Law.

As a leader in the fight against nursing home negligence, Melissa has taken a multi-faceted approach to improving the law as it pertains to elderly Ontarians – taking on precedent-setting cases, raising public awareness, and proposing detailed legislative reforms. In addition to her busy caseload, Melissa is a co-founder of the grassroots advocacy group Canadians4LTC (C4LTC) which has been actively campaigning for improved conditions in long-term care homes. We are proud of the important work that Melissa is doing to protect our most vulnerable citizens, and we congratulate her on this well-deserved award.

The OBA Award for Excellence in Elder Law recognizes outstanding members of the OBA for their exceptional achievements, distinguished service, and significant contributions through law and legal service. For more information on the award, please visit the OBA website.
