Adam Wagman Speaks to Journalists About Advertising a Personal Injury Practice

Adam Wagman Headshot

HSH Partner Adam Wagman was recently interviewed by several media outlets seeking his insights into the Law Society of Ontario’s regulation of lawyer advertising.

As a long-practising personal injury lawyer and a past President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), Adam has observed the evolution of the personal injury bar, and the techniques lawyers use to attract clients in an increasingly-competitive market.

Adam emphasized that the rules for lawyer advertising set out by the Law Society of Ontario are intended to maintain transparency and honesty, and they must be followed by all lawyers in order to maintain the public’s trust. He also pointed out that, despite a recent spate of Law Society disciplinary hearings regarding law firm marketing, the “vast majority” of personal injury firms advertise appropriately.
