HSH was proud to once again support the 2023 Tort Law Moot Competition, which was held virtually on March 3-4, 2023. In addition to sponsoring the competition, various members of our team were involved in every stage of the Tort Moot: Adam Wagman as a member of the Tort Moot Committee, Neil Sacks as a Judge, and Eman Khoshbin as a coach to participants in the Moot.
The goal of this student moot competition is to provide a skills-based learning opportunity for law students in a positive and supportive environment, while building relationships between the students and members of the Bar and the Bench. This year, five Ontario law schools participated in the Tort Moot: UOttawa, Windsor, Osgoode, Lincoln Alexander, and Lakehead. The topic this year was a moot appeal from the Ontario Court of Appeal’s decision in Florence v. Benzaquen 2021 ONCA 523.
Congratulations to this year’s winners!
