HSH Partner Melissa Miller along with one of her Canadians4LTC co-founders, Dr. Vivian Stamatopoulos, was interviewed on February 1, 2022 by CP24 anchor Reshmi Nair.
Melissa spoke passionately about the current conditions in long-term care homes, and called out the “wave of neglect” that is harming vulnerable seniors during the latest round of lock-down measures. She noted that staffing shortages are having widespread impacts and reported that many of her clients and their families are reporting significant problems including neglect and a lack of basic necessities of care, in addition to the very real problems of decline associated with isolation.
