This June, to honour Brain Injury Awareness Month, the Brain Injury Society of Toronto (BIST) is presenting its annual Expressive Art Show. The event showcases the artistic creativity and talents of people who are living with the effects of brain injury.
HSH Associate Samantha Shatz is a member of the BIST Board of Directors, and she has volunteered her time and energy to help organize the art show as a member of the BIST Brain Injury Awareness Committee.
The exhibition will be held in person this year, with an opening night celebration taking place at the Spadina Museum in Toronto on Friday, June 3, 2022. Artworks will be displayed at a variety of locations throughout the city over the course of the month, including installations at The Textile Museum and The Ontario College of Art & Design University.
We are excited to see our friends and colleagues in the brain injury community at the event launch, and we encourage everyone to seek out and visit the art on display across the city. To learn more, please visit the BIST Expressive Art Show webpage.
