On April 19th The Tornadoes Parasport Club hosted the 1st Annual 3 on 3 Wheelchair Basketball Fundraiser. The event was held at the new Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre in Scarborough.
Over 35 participants had fun, exercised, and experienced some team building during the event. $2,900 was raised from the proceeds of the 50/50 draw, registration, donations, sales of merchandise, and pledges.
Howard Blitstein captained the HSH Hurricanes team. We made it to the semi finals and lost in a tie breaker shoot out. It was a very close and exciting game.
Overall, it was a great day enjoyed by all.
