On August 29, 2018, the Honourable David Eby, Attorney General of British Columbia, announced that The Province of British Columbia has launched a class action lawsuit against pharmaceutical companies who manufacture opioids.
The lawsuit, filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, aims to recover millions of dollars in opioid-related health-care costs incurred by the provincial government.
