Briana Leibel brings a strong foundation in both individual and mass tort litigation to her role at Howie, Sacks & Henry. Prior to joining the firm, Briana practiced at CFM Lawyers, where she focused on mass torts, class actions, and personal injury, including aviation incidents and Workers’ Compensation matters. Her work has involved complex litigation such as product liability, price-fixing, mass injury claims arising from large-scale fires and plane crashes, and tort claims based on customary international law, a rare and specialized area of practice affirmed by the Supreme Court of Canada in Nevsun.
Briana earned her law degree from the University of Victoria, where she also worked at The Law Centre, a student-run legal clinic offering free services to clients in need. She previously spent five years as a legal assistant at a general practice firm in St. Albert, Alberta, supporting matters in wills and estates, real estate, commercial law, and civil litigation.
Briana is passionate about advancing the law to better serve people facing modern legal challenges and is committed to advocating for clients with skill, empathy, and tenacity.
