For-profit nursing home chains are in the business of caring for vulnerable seniors at the end of their lives. Families are claiming that they have taken their money, along with government funding, but have failed to provide the safe compassionate care they promised. Over 200 families have joined an unprecedented lawsuit about to be launched against Canada’s three biggest for-profit long-term care home chains: Revera, Extendicare and Sienna Senior Living.
